Tomasz Skweres is a Polish-Austrian composer and cellist who has been living in Vienna since 1997. As a composer, he received many national and international prizes. As a cellist, since 2012 he has been the solo cellist of the Regensburg Philharmonic, and during 2009-2012 he was a member of the Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna. Skweres is an active interpreter in the field of contemporary music and chamber music. He was awarded scholarship from the Herbert von Karajan Foundation, and is a laureate of various chamber music competitions.
