樂作枋少年中樂團獲香港光明之友協會之邀請，在2015年10月31日出席在吉慶圍舉行的光明慈善盆菜宴，並帶來多首樂曲演奏，為宴會增加熱鬧氣氛。
是次慈善圍村盆菜宴為光明之友首個公開籌款活動，期望籌得善款以支持明年為雲南省西北部僳僳族寄居人群而設的四個項目，助他們走出生活困境，極具意義。
Junior Chinese Orchestra has been invited by Hong Kong Friends of Guangming Association to perform at the Charity Poon Choi Dinner Gala 2015 which was held on 31 October 2015 in Kat Hing Wai Walled Village in Yuen Long.
The Charity Poon Choi Dinner Gala is the first public fundraising event of the Friends of Guangming. The Dinner is aimed at raising money for the four major projects for sojourners on northwest Yunnan mountains in 2016, in order to improve their living conditions.
